NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — VisitNorfolk is making it easier to explore the Mermaid City for everyone, including those with disabilities. They've released a new accessibility guide to the city to help not only those who face difficulties with mobility, but those with sensory challenges and more. 'At the heart of Norfolk's vibrancy lies a diverse community, and we take immense pride in celebrating that diversity,' says Sarah Hughes, Vice President of Marketing & Communications for VisitNorfolk. 'We believe that travel should be an enriching experience for everyone, regardless of their abilities, and we hope that the Norfolk Accessibility Guide will be a one-stop resource for travelers to access the information they need to plan a getaway they'll love.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego is celebrating the arrival of some ravioli-sized newborn Big Skates. For now, the babies will be raised in the nursery habitat in the  Hall of Fishes  as well as behind the scenes. As they continue to grow, they will be moved to other locations in the aquarium. A name that speaks for itself, Big Skates are the largest species of skates found in North America and can get upwards of eight feet – that's about the size of a surfboard.

Pause Consumption Lounge, a pop-up cannabis consumption lounge traveling the United States, announced that it will host 'Highs for Humanity: A Compassionate Community Gathering.' It's the cinematic return everyone is talking about – the Kirky Picture Palace is on its way back to its original home, offering movie magic at the heart of the community. The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) has called for the cancellation of new animated television series Krapopolis. The series set in a mythical Ancient Greece focuses on a flawed family of humans, gods and monsters trying to run one of the world's first cities without killing each other. It has debuted to mixed reviews with an IMDb rating of 6/10, while Rotten Tomatoes rates the show as rotten with a 57 per cent critic score – and it seems that it's not just the critics who are panning Fox's new show.

Infinite Constellations is an anthology from and of writers of color; the cover proclaims this with identity statements from some of the authors featured within. Many of them list multiple countries, revealing their complex cultural backgrounds. Initially encountering this book, I was hesitant. As a white person raised in America, I felt I was not the reader best placed fully to assess this collection: since whiteness has been rendered in Western discourse as a default mode, I do not have much sense of myself as belonging to a separate community, as many of the contributors of Infinite Constellations express.
