It took place at the Prudential Center in Newark and was hosted – for the second year in a row – by American rapper Nicki Minaj, who was also nominated for six awards, including video of the year and artist of the year. Retribution , the Liam Neeson -led thriller that released theatrically in August 2023, is making its way to Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) this month. Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions announced that Retribution will hit PVOD and Premium EST (PEST) on September 15, 2023.  Directed by Nimród Antal (Predators, Armored), Retribution was released in United States theaters on August 25, 2023. It grossed approximately $20 million at the worldwide box office off of a budget of $12.7 million.
